MEDLINE Ultimate  - a database of biomedical and medical journals. It provides access to over 3,000 journals indexed in MEDLINE, including more than 1,650 active full-text journals.

MEDLINE Ultimate is an authoritative research tool for biomedical and medical literature and provides access to information in the fields of healthcare, pharmacology, neurology, molecular biology, genetics, genomics, histology, microbiology, general medicine, and many other disciplines.

The database uses the MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) medical thesaurus.

SAGE Journals is an international platform providing access to over 1,000 peer-reviewed academic journals published in collaboration with scholarly societies and research institutions. Many of the titles have a high Impact Factor and are indexed in renowned databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.

Trial access will last until March 21, 2026.

How to access the trial resources?

Birds of the World is a digital knowledge base about birds, containing detailed life histories of over 11,000 species and overviews of all 254 bird families. The material comes from four recognised ornithological sources and is regularly updated by leading experts.
Integrated with millions of records from eBird and rich multimedia from the Macaulay Library, Birds of the World provides an in-depth look at the behaviour, ecology and biology of birds from around the world. It is an indispensable tool for scientists, students, educators, conservationists and all bird lovers

We have launched a tool in the University of Gdańsk Library catalogue that can completely change the way you search for materials.

Introducing the Primo Research Assistant – an intelligent companion that will make searching for sources faster, easier and... definitely more inspiring.

What can the Assistant do?

The training will be available from 20 October 2025 to 30 June 2026.

The library training is primarily intended for first-year students to familiarise them with how the UG  Library works.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the training is open to all. It means that all interested students can access the library training after logging in to the Education Portal.

Agnieszka Kranich-Lamczyk, administrator of the University Scientific Journals platform, organised a meeting on 9 April 2025, during which editors of journals published at the University of Gdańsk had the opportunity to discuss issues related to raising the quality of journals, exchange experiences and present activities that have proved successful in the context of, among other things, internationalising journals and attracting reviewers.
