How to place an order
- In order to place an order, it is necessary to have a current library account and no arrears in the library.
- You should check whether the publication you are looking for is not in BUG (in the online catalogue choose the search option ‘All (BUG catalogue + online resources)’) or in other FarU libraries (in the online catalogue choose the option ‘FarU libraries: UG, PG, GUMed’ to check availability in the PG and GUMed libraries), or check in other libraries in the Tricity.
- You should also - if possible - check the name of the library where the publication is located.
Catalogues to aid your search:
Online catalogue (after selecting the search option ‘Combined catalogues: BN, UJ, UG, PG, GUMed etc.’)
NUKAT - Central catalogue of the collections of Polish scientific and academic libraries,
KaRo - Distributed Catalogue of Polish Libraries,
- Submitted orders should include accurate bibliographic data:
Author, title, place, year of publication - if ordering a book,
Author, title of the article and the exact title, year, number of the periodical - in the case of a request to import a copy of a text included in a continuous publication.
- A reader may order 5 publications at a time (including no more than three from abroad).
- Requests for publications from national libraries can be made in person at the interlibrary loan office on special forms or electronically.
- In the order it is necessary to choose the library (the Main Library or one of the specialist libraries) that will process the order. The choice of library is at the same time the choice of the place - the reading room - where the submitted items will be made available.
- Only one publication can be ordered per form.
- The reader is notified of the completion of the order by e-mail or telephone.
- If the reader does not come to collect the requested materials, the UG Library will charge the reader with the costs of collecting the materials and may terminate the right to use the Interlibrary Loan Service.
