Are You starting university? Be sure to take a look here!

Welcome to the University of Gdańsk Library! We have some good news for you! You don’t need to register with the Library. Your library account has been created automatically using your eUczelnia details and remains valid for the duration of your studies.

We invite you to take a look at the online library training course, which is now live and will remain available until 30 June 2027. Don’t worry, you’ve got plenty of time.

But that’s not all the good news. At the University of Gdańsk Main Library, you can make use of:

• the self-check-out machine – a device for borrowing and returning books yourself (1st floor),
• the library remote locker – here you can collect the book you’ve ordered or return the one you’ve borrowed (outside the entrance),
• individual and group study rooms. For enquiries regarding access – the circulation desk (1st floor),
• the quiet reading room, room 3.36 (3rd floor), and soon another one too – we’re refurbishing it for you!,
• the Chill Zone (1st floor), equipped with an electric kettle and a microwave,
• the community garden on the terrace (1st floor). You’ll find cushions in the boxes,
• open reading rooms on Levels I–III.

You’ll also find study and relaxation areas in the specialist libraries and reading rooms.

The University of Gdańsk Library is not just a place for studying and relaxing. It is also a space where various events are organised. Coming up soon at the University of Gdańsk Library:

• Academic Opening of the Academic Year (15–16 October),
• Library Night (16 October),
• and many more.
